Tesco offer an Italian range, covering pizza, pasta, sauces and dips. All of which look rather yummy to me. But seeing as I can’t eat tomato, I put some of the Itaniano range to test with some hungry teenager friends, Craig and Katie-Anne.
We had two types of pizza on the menu, cheese and red onion, and ham and mushroom. Along with some Tiger Garlic Baguette’s and Artisan Baguette’s.
All of which came from the chilled section. Very easy to cook. Basically take out of packaging, pop in pre-heated oven and wait about 15 minutes.
Both Craig and Katie-Anne throughly enjoyed both pizzas, but both agreed that the nicest was the red onion and cheese one. Craig said you can really taste the onion on it, which gives it a good flavour.
The tiger garlic breads were a success too. With the bread being tiger bread, there is a little more flavour to the crusts. Which makes these particularly delicious.
The Italiano range from Tesco offer a wide range of pizzas, including chicken and bacon, Pepperoni Calzone, Sticky Pork Pizza, Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza and many more to suit your tastes. The pasta dishes include Ravioli and Cannelloni, with a wide selection of sauces to pick from. The pizza crust drunkers make ideal dips for your crusts, coming in smokey BBQ, sour cream and chive and Chilli Chipotle Mayo. The Dip, Dress, Drizzle range offer exactly that for warm bread, salads and extra flavour to pizzas.
The pizzas are ideal for two sharing, and the breads are big enough to divide too.
The calzone pizza is like an inside out pizza, they look like parcels. The topping is as a filling on the inside, the dough makes a crispy outside shell.
All make for a great selection of tasty Italian based foods, with some vegetarian choices, you can dine in with foods like an Italian restaurant.
Take just a few simple dishes from Tesco versatile and great-tasting Italiano range and you’ll find it’s never been easier to recreate the unmistakable flavour of Italy.
Our sample dishes got a big thumbs up from Craig and Katie-Anne, both avid Italian food munchers!

Convenience 10/10 Really easy to prepare and cook. Quick and very convenient. Ideal for no fuss family meals with taste.
Value 9/10 With any kind of chilled ready prepared food, you do pay more than starting from scratch. However in comparison to takeaway prices and restaurant prices, they work out good value.
